Newtown Memorial Fund Golf Outing
The Newtown Memorial Fund held their first annual golf outing on August 13, 2013 at the Whitney Farms Golf Club in Monroe, CT. Bearingstar Insurance was proud to be a Platinum Sponsor with several employees enjoying a day of golf for a good cause. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Newtown Memorial Fund.
The Newtown Memorial Fund, Inc. is a registered Connecticut charity and 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Their mission is to first assist those affected by the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary, along with contributing to the official town memorial and also to fund an annual scholarship to Newtown students in perpetuity and in honor of those that were lost on December 14, 2012.
Bearingstar Insurance founded the Bearingstar Insurance Charitable Fund (“BICF”), a division of the Arbella Insurance Charitable Foundation, in 2012. The mission of the BICF is to engage in activities and to support not-for-profit organizations that have a significant positive impact on the people and communities that Bearingstar serves.
