New Distracted Driving Laws in Effect
New distracted driving laws are now in effect for the state of Connecticut! As of October 1st, it is now illegal to use a handheld device while driving in Connecticut, even if the vehicle is stopped in traffic or at a signal light. Penalties for breaking the new laws include fines and a point on the driver’s licence for each offense.
Follow the law – keep your attention on the road, your phone in your pocket, and drive safely!
